Under the slogan of: “The Echo of free people in the homeland of Colonialism”, the Embassy of Algeria to The Netherlands marked today the National Day of Immigration by organizing a ceremony of remembrance of the Algerians aboard that were brutally repressed by the French police while participating in a peaceful march on October, 17th 1961.Hundreds of victims and martyrs were left behind.
The ceremony consisted of:
– The Statement of the Ambassador, H.E. Mrs Salima Abdelhak.
– The raise of the Algerian flag
– The Observation of a minute of silence and reading the Fatiha in memory of the souls of ours Martyrs.
Glory and eternity for our brave Martyrs.
